We're a design and engineering firm working at the nexus of concept and creation. From complex heavy machinery to ingeniously simple paper dispensers, we partner with world-class teams to deliver elegant solutions for common problems.
With over 35 years in the field, we've have the privilege of designing and engineering some of the most successful products to come out of companies that we all know and love. And we got to do it alongside some incredibly talented people.
John Deere's most ambitious Gators would be made from scratch. The controls placement, frame, OPS, powertrain layout, seat base, bumpers, and brush guards were designed through a joint effort with Deere's talented team of engineers. Notably, on the light duty unit, the frame was configured to be common between the sporty trail version and the workhorse utility version.
Through close collaboration with manufacturing, every part went through intense scrutiny to ensure that it exceeded requirements. Competitive analyses and prototyping empowered the team to test and validate concepts quickly.
This brilliantly simple tractor would go on to become one of Case / New Holland's most commercially successful products. Embedded in a team consisting of engineers from Turkey and Mexico, we started with just a powertrain and designed this all-new tractor around it, including the hood, cab, fenders, operator station, controls, fuel tank and more. Parts were common across open and cab models, which minimized tooling cost, increased parts volume and made this tractor a customer favorite.
When we joined this project, the entire machine was complete – except one thing. It didn't have a cab. Under tight constraints (including no tooling budget), we designed an integrated cab with a wiper system and gas spring assisted overhead door, as well as bucket controls that utilized high efficiency cables to reduce wear and lost motion.
These iconic green forklift trucks would seemingly become ubiquitous in warehouses and factories around the world, known for their easy, smooth and quiet operation. We were involved in the design of the frame, steer axle, electro-hydraulic fork controls, and ground speed pedal system with integral forward & reverse controls.
For John Deere's highly successful 5000 series tractors, we were part of the team that developed the cooling system, CAC system, air intake system, radiator, oil cooler and battery tray with an integral cable routing system. We also worked closely with component suppliers to tailor their products to our needs. Best of all, the final product exceeded the design and serviceability requirements, all while meeting cost targets.
We were invited to participate in the design of John Deere's 4000 series tractor cabs in 2004. The designs were so successful at surpassing the competition, that they're still in production today – as the leading product, no less. The cab structure, mounting, glass, hinges, door latches, and more were all part of our contribution to this project.
Even paper dispensers can be cool, when they come from the right team. These were introduced as the first and only high capacity two-roll dispensers on the market, topped off with motion-sensing technology. From concept through production, we were part of the talented group that designed every aspect of these dispensers. Usability testing guided the team through several design iterations, ultimately resulting in a completely unique product that was awarded multiple patents.
Through a long-standing partnership with Bay West and Wausau Paper, we've designed multiple lines of efficient and eco-friendly paper dispensers that can be found in malls, airports, offices, restaurants, and hospitals all around the world. Notably, we were involved in developing the patented OptiCore paper roll technology, which prevents advancing to the next roll until the current roll is used up.
Euclid made some of the largest machines in the world, full stop. For their 85 ton capacity dump truck, we designed a two stage hydraulic dump cylinder. We also redesigned components of the deck system, exhaust, and hydraulic system on their 50 ton capacity dump truck, resulting in a cost savings of $2,000 per unit.
Harsh environments warrant rugged machines. So we redesigned this Log Skidder's entire hydraulic system to eliminate heat issues. We then designed an orbitrol steering system, a new hydraulic grapple and boom, an integrated cab with impact resistant glass, an air conditioning system and all-new operator controls.
Samsung called from South Korea, and we soon found ourselves embedded in a team tasked with designing an entire product line of 2-3 ton capacity forklift trucks. 24 models, to be exact. Working with existing drive axles and masts, we designed every component of the trucks, ranging from frames to operator stations.
We'll work directly with you to bring your product from idea to launch in record time, without compromising on cost or quality. From sketching, to CAD modeling, to prototypes and production. Meet your team's new unfair advantage.
